I took like a 30 minute nap between classes today and had a nightmare (daymare?) that I was taking a physics exam and one of the questions on it was “How strong is the bond between a girl and her horse?” and I stared at it in sheer panic thinking “how the fuck do you even solve this?”
Movie studios make films about Princess Diana and heavily insinuate that the royal family had a direct hand in her death like…. You think this has nothing to do with you?
Like there is a weird pattern where the media and fans try to find a scapegoat for a famous person’s death and completely overlook the parr THEY played in it. Lady Di was literally chased to death by paparazzi. Make of that what you will.
Even the Britney Spears thing… Of course her family is evil and ruined her life but let’s not act like the media painting her as this crazy person and hounding her for years and years isn’t an integral part of what happened to her.
Hate it when you’re wearing “military-esque” clothing like camo pants or combat boots and some old vet asks you if you’re from a military family like fuck off papa war crimes I’m appropriating your culture here.
How are you appropriating a vet’s culture??? Aren’t they just like, animal doctors? What do vets have to do with the army?????
doing my damnedest to free myself of the “just gotta get through this week” “only x more days til the weekend” mindset & learn to appreciate each day for whatever it is lest i be driven to madness
When Guillermo del Toro had a practical effect fish-man suit in The Shape of Water but used cgi to make the eyes look more real…. he had the right idea.
Practical effects are the meal and cgi is the spice. Both important. One sustains me, fulfills me. The other adds flavor and depth. But serve me a plate of spices and nothing else and I will revolt.
